Professor of Coaching and Pedagogy
School of Sport Exercise and Health Sciences
Dr Cushion is a UEFA qualified football coach with a wide interest in coaching. He is involved in a range of coaching related consultancy projects for both the public and private sector and he is an external reviewer in the UK Coaching Certificate endorsement process.
He has extensive experience in sport, from participation to performance coaching in the UK and the US. Within sport and industry, his clients include Chelsea F.C., Fulham F.C., Bath R.F.C., Tottenham Hotspur F.C.
Professor of Surface Engineering and Corrosion
School of Aeronautical Automotive Chemical and Materials Engineering
Professor Wilcox joined Loughborough in 1986 as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant for the Department of Chemistry. In 1989, he moved to the Department of Materials as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant and subsequently became a Research Fellow.
Professor Wilcox took up a Lectureship in Materials Engineering in 1996, progressing on to a Senior Lectureship in 2001.
He was appointed Reader in Surface Engineering in 2007 and Professor of Surface Engineering and Corrosion in 2015.
