Fine Art graduate donates artwork to charity

Acclaimed artist and Loughborough graduate, Vanessa Raw, has donated two of her art pieces to help raise money for charity.

Her paintings are currently on display at the Watts Gallery in Surrey and they will be auctioned to raise funds for Transplant Links Community (TLC).

Vanessa’s paintings, New Dawn and Friday Night’s Dream, depict the beautiful scenes that the artist found picturesque while training to compete in her first Ironman race.

The two paintings are on display alongside artworks by celebrities and artists including Sir Paul McCartney, Boris Johnson, Dame Zaha Hadid, Joanna Lumley, Marc Chagall.

Transplant Links Community is a UK registered charity that saves the lives of children and adults in the developing world who suffer from end-stage kidney disease.

Commenting on the exhibition, Vanessa said: “It is such an amazing charity, which ultimately saves lives. If I can be of help to any charity I will, and this was such an amazing opportunity to be able to help with.”

The exclusive one-off exhibition will be open until 17 October. Admission is free and all proceeds from the auction will be split between two charities Transplant Links Community and the Watts Gallery.
