My Landmark exhibition at the Pilkington Library

A project designed to create links between British and Chinese students will be showcased on campus from 30 November – 20 December.

Organised as part of the 2015 UK-China Year of Cultural Exchange, My Landmark is the culmination of a visual exchange that involved British and Chinese students sharing photos conveying their personal responses to the prompt, their ‘landmark’.

The chosen images describe physical space, objects, people as well as more abstract imagery such as architectural details. They evoke insight in things that may be both familiar and exotic.

In collaboration with photographer Liz Hingley, the library will be exhibiting specially commissioned banners as part of a series of exhibitions in British and Shanghai Universities.

This event is free and open to all staff and students.
