Enjoy a classical guitar concert during your lunch break on Wednesday!

Prize-winning guitarist Alan Thomas will be performing on Wednesday 11 November in Martin Hall Café - and you’re invited!

Alan’s compositions focus on the guitar in both solo and chamber music settings, drawing freely on a broad range of styles and techniques. In this concert he will play some standards in the classical guitar repertoire alongside his own innovative compositions. The concert is a part of the LU Arts programme of events.

Alan’s performances have been praised by Classical Guitar magazine as “the best of what’s being written for the contemporary guitar” making this a concert not to be missed!

The event is free to attend, and no booking is required - just drop in!

The full programme of upcoming events at LU Arts includes classic theatre with Waiting For Godot on Wednesday 18 November, Britain’s foremost jazz saxophonist Andy Sheppard on Wednesday 25 November and Red Priest’s Winter Baroque Carnival on Tuesday 8 December.

The University Choir will wrap up the programme of events with their ‘Christmas Cracker’ concert on Wednesday 9 December.
