Loughborough teams in action on BUCS Big Wednesday
Loughborough University is today hosting BUCS Big Wednesday, with 33 fixtures being played across 12 different sports in four hubs across campus.
Our student teams will be looking to secure BUCS Championship titles in men’s and women’s badminton, men’s and women’s hockey, women’s lacrosse and women’s basketball.
Yesterday on Trophy Tuesday men’s table tennis defeated UCL 9-5 and women’s badminton overcame Bath 5-0 to claim titles
Today will be attended by British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Patron, the Princess Royal, who will be in attendance to present medals to some of the winners.
There will also be 160 student volunteers from Loughborough University working hard to ensure that the event runs smoothly.
