Supporting children and young people symposium

Supporting Children and Young People: Bridging Research, Practice and Policy is and informal symposium in which speakers will share their experiences of, and reflections on, their work supporting children and young people.

The event will take place on Wednesday 8 July 10.30am-4pm. It aims to bring together those working in research, practice and policy to explore and discuss how to assess and improve the range and quality of support for children and young people.

Areas that will be explored are:

  • How can we build and strengthen links between research, practice and policy that supports children and young people?
  • How can children and young people shape research, practice and policy that aims to support them?
  • How can we assess, measure and demonstrate the outcomes (particularly ‘soft’ outcomes) of work with children and young people?

Mason Blackburn, young adult member of ADHD Solutions

Louise Bradley, Researcher, Department of Social Sciences, Loughborough University

Lisa Holmes, Director of the Centre for Child and Family Research, Loughborough University

Christine Jarvis, ADHD Specialist Coach, Founder and Director of ADHD Solutions
