Success at staff Tandem Skydive

University staff across different departments successfully completed a Tandem Skydive to raise money for charity last week.

The Skydive was arranged in association with LSU Rag and staff fundraised for a wide range of fantastic charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, MS-UK and many more.

Participants bravely skydived from 13,500ft at Langar Airfield in Nottingham and raised a minimum of £6600.50 for their chosen charities altogether.

Organiser of the event, Sarah Haar, said: “It was a fantastic day and the group were all so encouraging of each other. Altogether they raised a minimum of £6600.50 for various charities, which in itself is an incredible achievement.

“I do hope this will be the start of a growing relationship between LSU Rag and University staff, allowing staff to sign up to various other exciting opportunities. I’d like to say a huge thank you to all 15 members of staff who took part.”
