River Science Laboratory facility relocated to Facilities Management building

Work to relocate the River Science Laboratory facility and associated offices to the Facilities Management building has recently been completed.
The move for the Department of Geography was project managed by the Development Unit from Facilities Management. The extensive work involved removing and replacing redundant services, altering accommodation and relocating large and delicate water flumes.
The location was originally designed for the Department of Transport Technology and was used for engine test facilities, making it a spacious and ideal location for the water flumes.
Project manager Colin Morgan, described the project as “real success which is something to be proud of.”
