Lightning begin home campaign in Netball Superleague

Loughborough Lightning will play their first home match of the new Netball Superleague season on Monday 9th February against Celtic Dragons.

Lightning are looking to improve on last season’s disappointing campaign, and have drafted in University graduate and former England international, Karen Atkinson, as the new head coach.

The new look squad includes Rachel Henry recruited from Manchester Thunder, who will captain the side.

Lightning have also signed international players Maryka Holtzhausen and Phumza Maweni from South Africa, and Peace Proscovia from Uganda.

The match is one of three fixtures that have already sold out as the popularity of netball and the Superleague continues to grow.

With tickets only costing only £2.50 for students and £5.00 for University staff, you can secure your place at upcoming matches at the Sir David Wallace Hall and the Netball Centre by visiting the Loughborough Lightning website.
