Print Services hosts the House of Commons

Print Services were visited by the print team from the House of Commons to demonstrate the high quality production machines and workflow software that support Online Printing at the University.

Online Printing is the campus wide print service that enables staff and students to upload files from any PC or Mac on campus, select finishing options and to arrange collection or delivery.

Business and Administration Manager in Creative and Print Services, Helen Clarke, developed and implemented Online Printing in 2010 to provide accessible print services both on and off campus to staff, including free campus delivery. The service has since grown and now provides a student storefront, can process credit card payments and is providing school storefronts that meet the specific needs of the end user.

Helen commented: “Having teams such as the one from the House of Commons visit us to learn and seek guidance from us is a real demonstration of the advanced services we have in place and the significant benefits we are able to offer to both staff and students through our online services.

“Print Services has a fundamental role on campus and produces a wide range of business output from the production of student coursework notes to exam papers, through to marketing collateral and business stationery. A return visit is planned with the House and follows similar visits from University of Warwick, University of Leeds and London South Bank University.”
