Annual cycling race returns to campus

The Loughborough Campus Criterium cycle race will take place on Monday 4 May for the fourth year running.

The event is closed circuit and includes two races:

  • a regional race starting at 9am
  • a national race starting at 10:20am

The race will occupy University Road, Margaret Key Road and the E Link Road past the Sir John Beckwith building.

These roads and any adjacent car parks will be closed from 8:30am until 12noon during the event.

Any cars that are parked in the car parks after the event has begun will not be able to exit until the roads have been re-opened by security.

Car parks that will be closed are:

  • Car Parks 5, 5a, 8, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19
  • Union Way
  • Students Union Car Park
  • Sir Richard Morris
  • Haslegrave
  • Admin 1
  • Rear of EHB
  • Chemistry
  • Falk/Egg

Access from the following car parks will be severely restricted due to the road closures:

  • Car Park 9, 10, 11, 12
  • Ann Packer
  • Tennis Centre Road
