Boost your employability skills – become a University student fundraiser

Telephone campaign

The University’s Development and Alumni Relations Office is looking to recruit a dedicated team of trained student fundraisers who are passionate about Loughborough and enjoy the opportunity to engage with the graduate community.

Last year’s appeal secured over £100,000 in pledged donations from alumni, and we hope to build on this success, starting this autumn.

The 2014-15 telephone fundraising appeal will run for four weeks, from Monday 10 November to Friday 5 December, and again for four weeks in terms two and three. During this time we aim to contact around 7,000 alumni. We will share news from Loughborough and details of upcoming events at the University and invite the graduates to support various funds for scholarships, prizes and projects that enhance the ‘Loughborough Experience’ for current students.

Applications to become one of this year’s calling team are open now. You should submit your application by noon on Friday 17 October.

The telethon is a great opportunity to boost your CV, and the professional skills you will develop are highly valued by employers. We will support you with training throughout the campaign, and you will have the opportunity to speak to alumni who studied a similar course and who have lots of careers advice to offer. It's a great networking opportunity, not only with other current students but with alumni as well.

For more information and to apply go to the Telethon website.
