Holywell Fitness Centre opens for business

Vice-Chancellor Professor Robert Allison was in attendance this morning as the new Holywell Fitness Centre opened for business.

The new centre, a £5.6 million investment by the University, is a contemporary health and fitness facility situated at the West end of campus.

In the 860sqm health and fitness suite there are over 75 items of cardio-vascular equipment and 50 plus fixed and free weight stations, alongside a core stretch area.

Also included in the development are two fitness studios, and a new sports hall that provides four badminton courts, as well as basketball, netball and volleyball activity.

An annual student membership costs £199 per year. Freshers can apply for a special three year deal offer at a cost of just £300, a saving of £297.

Members of the centre will have access to the fitness suite, over 75 weekly fitness classes taking place on campus, and the 50m swimming pool.

Full details, including memberships, can be found here.

Photographs of the new centre can be found on the Loughborough Sport Facebook page.
