Major investment and three awards for Ross Kemp’s rescue craft

Loughborough Design School graduate Ross Kemp is celebrating a major investment from Leicestershire entrepreneur Steve Perry, to ensure the worldwide launch next Spring of sustainable solo rescue craft,
Asap.

Earlier this year, Steve sold Creative Graphics International, the company he built up twenty years ago, to a London-based Private Equity Firm. In addition to investing in Asap, Steve is keen to continue supporting Ross, as his business develops in the Studio, the University’s graduate commercialisation hub.

The investment will pay for tooling and the manufacture of a fleet of rescue craft bound for Australia, Spain, South Africa and the UK.

Ross has plenty to celebrate, having scooped a trio of awards last week. At the Great British Entrepreneur Awards he won Silver in the Start Up Award and a special Merit Award. Ross was also one of only seven start ups selected from over 400 to compete at the National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs Varsity Pitch, where he won the Lloyds Bank Creative Industries Award.
