LU professor gives evidence at Government committee hearing

Liesbet van Zoonen, Professor of Communication and Media Studies in the Department of Social Sciences, is giving evidence today (23 June) to the Government’s Science and Technology Committee.

The hearing – the second oral evidence session for the Committee’s inquiry into social media data and real time analytics – will see Professor Van Zoonen and three other experts giving their views on how the relationship between the Government and public needs to develop in the digital age.

Professor Van Zoonen leads the IMPRINTS research project, which explores what influences the UK and US publics to engage or disengage with identity management practices, services and technologies of the future.

The hearing will be broadcast live on Monday 23 June from 4.15pm, with Professor Van Zoonen leading the evidence in the second panel at 5.15pm. Watch it online at Parliament TV.
