Honorary degrees to be awarded at summer graduation ceremonies

At next week’s graduation ceremonies, the University will present ten honorary degrees.

Honorary Doctor of Technology, in recognition of their contribution to design innovation and business success.

Nick Smither

Group Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Ford Motor Company

Honorary Doctor of the University, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to information services and the automotive industry.

David Collier

Chief Executive, England and Wales Cricket Board, and Chairman, International Hockey Rules Board

Honorary Doctor of the University, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to sport, in particular cricket and hockey.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach KCB CBE ADC 

Vice Chief of Defence Staff, Ministry of Defence

Honorary Doctor of Technology, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to maintaining the safety and security of the people and countries of the United Kingdom as well as in the wider global area.
