Inspiring Leaders voting extended

Voting for the Guardian University Awards' Inspiring Leader gong, for which Chief Operating Officer Richard Taylor is a nominee, has been extended to Friday 7 February.

Before moving to Loughborough, Richard was deputy registrar at the University of Leicester. While there, says The Guardian, “he championed the initial research into the Richard III dig and masterminded its later public dissemination, working expertly with academic and professional colleagues.

“Richard also provides leadership to higher education marketing staff through his role as a CASE tutor.

“His vigour and knowledge of data and market research is second to none and he has raised standards for higher education marketing across the UK.”

All those shortlisted were nominated by The Guardian University Awards judges. The title will go to a leader who has brought out the best in their team, delivering real results and motivating and inspiring people inside and outside their institution.

The winner will be announced at a ceremony on 26 February in London, along with the winners of the other 14 awards categories. Loughborough has been shortlisted in the Sustainable Project category for the Eat Your campus initiative.
