University on approved list of prospective Team Bases for Rugby World Cup 2015
Loughborough has today been named on the approved list of prospective Team Bases for Rugby World Cup 2015.
Representatives from England Rugby 2015 visited the University last autumn and confirmed facilities met the required criteria to host one of the 20 teams that will compete in the six-week tournament.
Bases on England Rugby 2015’s approved list are not guaranteed to host teams, but they will be used to provide competing nations with their Team Base options, many of which are currently undertaking visits of prospective bases.
Loughborough is one of 65 Team Bases named on the approved list.
