If you’re studying for an undergraduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics-related subject – collectively known as STEM subjects – then why not enter The Telegraph UK STEM Awards?

It’s an opportunity to put your ideas to some of the most influential companies in industry and show how you’d make a difference in the world.

You’re asked to provide a dynamic solution to any one of the challenges in the following sectors – technology, energy, automotive, pharmaceutical and construction. Each sponsor company will then shortlist the five most impressive entries within its category, and these students will be invited to the sponsor’s company site to present their ideas.

The confirmed category winners – one for each of the STEM challenges – will then be invited to London to present their idea to a panel of three expert, independent judges. The final decision will be announced at an awards ceremony in London in June 2015.

The overall winner, whether it's an individual or a team, will receive a £25,000 cash prize and a bespoke mentoring programme courtesy of Babcock International Group.

Category winners get a placement or work experience with the industry sponsor for that category.

The deadline for entries is 15 March 2015.
