Books of Remembrance for student Adele Addo

Books of Remembrance have been opened for Economics with Accounting student Adele Addo, who died suddenly whilst travelling back home to London last month.

Professor Paul Turner, head of Economics at the School, said: “Although we had only known Adele for a short time, she was a young, bright spark in our Economics community and we are deeply saddened by this terrible news.”

Adele was a member of the University’s African Caribbean Society (ACS), who tweeted: “Our condolences to Adele Addo’s family. We only had her as part of our family for a few weeks but from what we experienced she was a lovely, bubbly and vibrant girl.”

There is a Book of Remembrance in the reception area of the Sir Richard Morris building and one in the Centre for Faith and Spirituality in the Brockington building, where silent prayers can also be undertaken in the chapel.
