Student wins ‘Inspirational Woman of Year’ award

Student Rachel Dykins has been named ‘Inspirational Woman Student of the Year’ at the National Union of Students Women’s Campaign National Awards.

Rachel, who is in the final year of a psychology degree, won the award for establishing the Loughborough Women’s Network after taking on the part-time role of Women’s Officer last year.

She was presented with the award at the NUS annual Women’s Conference in Bradford.

The Loughborough Women’s Network, which she founded last November, was also runner-up in the Women’s Group/Feminist Society category out of 30 nominations.
