LU hosts Young Enterprise competition

The University’s Glendonbrook Centre for Enterprise Education and Student Outreach and Recruitment team (SOAR) have jointly sponsored the local and regional Young Enterprise Company of the Year competition.

Young Enterprise is the UK’s largest business and enterprise education charity. Its national competition helps school students set up and run a real firm for one year under the guidance of a business volunteer.

Two local finals were hosted this week at the University and prizes were won by four student companies: Eunoia (Groby Community College), En Masse (Lutterworth College), I Wish (Sir Johnathan North Community College) and Little Enterprise (Ratcliffe College). All four will go on to the county final, also hosted on campus, on 7 May.

SOAR’s Emma Bagley is on the local and regional judging panel alongside other members of the local business and education communities.
