About this event
An exhibition of drawings by distinguished artists, curated by Professor Phillip Lindley.
'3D Drawing' features abstract and conceptual drawings by artists who work in three dimensions, whether or not they would describe themselves as ‘sculptors’.
This show celebrates the founding of the Sculpture Research Group at Loughborough University and will be of particular interest to Creative Arts BA and Graphic Design and Visualisation MA students as well staff and members of the public.
The exhibition will include drawings by Turner-Prize winning sculptor Richard Deacon RA, Turner-Prize nominee Fiona Banner RA, David Nash RA, Jacqueline Donachie, Amikam Toren and Stuart Taylor. Their drawings will also be accompanied by the works of other distinguished artists teaching at the University, including Nick Aikman, John Atkin, Deborah Harty, Eleanor Morgan, Craig Richardson, and Michael Shaw.
This is a rare opportunity to view works by a collection of eminent artists, here in Loughborough.
There is ramp access to the gallery to the left of the main entrance. Please alert the exhibition invigilator if you require assistance and access. A gender-neutral toilet is available on the ground floor of Martin Hall. If you have any specific access needs that you would like to discuss in advance of visiting the exhibition then please call us on 01509 222948 or email email@example.com.
Social distancing guidance remains in place on campus so please maintain a safe distance from others when visiting the exhibition. To help with this, numbers will be restricted to a maximum of 5 visitors at a time and doorways and windows will be open to increase ventilation. A facemask should be worn unless you have a medical exemption.
