Update for students - 4 November
From tomorrow (Thursday 5th November), England will be subject to new national Covid-19 restrictions. The Government has announced that they will be in place until Wednesday 2nd December 2020.
As the Vice-Chancellor said in his email on Monday, the University will remain open and teaching will continue to current arrangements. The Library and other academic facilities will remain open.
We have put together an online summary to show how the new restrictions might impact you and to highlight the support we have available to help you through. We will keep updating the FAQs, so please make sure you keep an eye on the site.
Whilst I understand some students will wish to head out today to socialise within their households before the additional restrictions come into place tomorrow, please be aware that the current local Tier 2 restrictions in force until midnight do not permit mixing between households indoors and in bars.
I appreciate that this might be a very unsettling time for you, but we are here to help. Please do take a look at the new webpage and contact the services available if you feel that you might benefit from some support.
