Update for staff - 30 June at 12pm
As I am sure you are aware, the Government last night announced a local lockdown in Leicester. The area affected is within the red line outlined on the Leicestershire County Council website.
If you live within the local lockdown area, you must work from home if you can.
If you have to come to the East Midlands campus because you cannot work from home, you should follow all the social distancing measures and the health and safety protocols in place at the University.
If you or someone you live with has any symptoms of Covid-19, you should not leave home and should follow the advice on the NHS website.
This guidance for those living within the affected areas in Leicester supersedes any previous guidance we have issued to you.
With schools in the lockdown area closing again, we appreciate that there may be unexpected caring responsibilities. If you have any concerns, please speak to your line manager in the first instance.
We understand that this will be a worrying time for many of you. Please remember that there is support material available on our Staff Wellbeing web pages.
If you do not live in the lockdown area then previous guidance is still current in relation to working at the campus, including the Vice-Chancellor's email last week, dated 26th June.
Thank you again for your support at this challenging time.
