Update for staff - 22 January 2021
Dear Colleagues and Doctoral Researchers
I thought it helpful to provide you with an interim update on the University’s timeline for returning to campus this term.
Taking account of the Government’s guidelines, Academic Schools are currently reviewing the situation, programme by programme, and year group by year group. We intend to make a detailed statement towards the middle of next week about when in-person teaching will, or is likely to, resume for different groups. This statement will apply for at least the first three weeks of Semester 2 to give those colleagues delivering or supporting teaching good notice of any changes. The University has also confirmed that where students should not return (and they do not return), we will continue to rebate residence fees.
Please note the Government is likely to make regular testing a condition of campus operations. Colleagues working on campus can book regular tests here.
Thank you for your continued patience and support.
Chief Operating Officer
