Study spaces on campus

Where you can find study space on the Loughborough campus

The Library will be open seven days a week, 8.30am-2am Monday to Friday, 9am-2am on Saturday and 10am-2am on Sunday. We’ll be allowing fewer people in at any one time so you can maintain social distance while you’re in the building.

There will be fewer study spaces available; these, and all bookable rooms, can only be used for individual study. All returned books will be quarantined for a period of time to ensure they are safe for the next user.

Face coverings will be required when you’re walking around and studying in the building.

We have one-way systems in place to allow for access to books. Library staff will be on hand in the building to help you navigate the altered space.

Keep an eye on the Library website too for additional information. Don’t forget to bring your Student ID card (which is also your Library card) to gain access to the building and borrow books.

The Library café will be open and as their space is limited, you’ll be allowed to take food and drink on to all floors of the Library.

We are currently working on providing some additional study spaces. You may also make use of any teaching room on campus which has not been booked. This will show on the timetable screen outside of the room. When using these teaching rooms you must follow the relevant guidance, as if you were attending a lecture in person, and ensure that you sit in the positions indicated by the green stickers to maintain social-distancing.
