Loughborough School Direct route - funding and how to apply
How is the Loughborough School Direct route funded?
Trainees pay a £9,250 tuition fee to Loughborough University and are eligible for bursaries (of up to £20,000, depending on their subject and degree classification) from the Department for Education. Trainees may also be eligible for additional bursaries from Loughborough University, depending on their household income and whether or not they are Loughborough graduates. More details of these bursaries are provided in the ‘funding’ section of this website.
How do you apply for School Direct?
Application is through UCAS Teacher Training which provides a single admission system for all the routes into teaching. Applicants are able to apply from November, with a maximum of 3 choices, covering both provider-led and School Direct routes. Individuals can apply for both a provider-led place with Loughborough as well as a School Direct place with a school working with Loughborough University.
