Welcome to the Work and Health Research Centre
The Work and Health Research Centre (WHRC) undertakes research and consultancy into improving health and safety in the workplace.
The approach adopted by the Centre aims to protect health and safety, while improving comfort and performance. We believe it is important to look beyond the immediate focus of a problem, to consider the many wider influences that are almost always also involved.
We have worked with many organisations from both the private and public sectors, ranging from small local firms, through to government departments and major international companies.
Our areas of expertise are:
- improving health and safety
- mental health at work
- slip, trip and fall accidents
- musculoskeletal disorders
- accident causation and injury prevention
- interventions to improve health and well being
