Kathrin Burdenski is a PhD student looking at the long-term associations between early non-parental childcare and mental health. Prior to coming to Loughborough, Kathrin studied psychology at Leiden University in the Netherlands (BSc, 2013-2016) and the Heinrich-Heine University in Duesseldorf, Germany (MSc, 2016-2018). As a psychologist, Kathrin offers workshops on student wellbeing and supports early careers in the transition from the university to the work environment.

Next to her research, Kathrin co-founded and co-leads the Loughborough Open Research Collective which is part of the ReproducibiliTea journal clubs. From 2021-2022, Kathrin serves as the local lead of the UK Reproducibility Network, along with Camilla Gilmore. Feel free to reach out by emailing
