Over 20 students were invited to an event at the University to celebrate their academic achievements.

The dinner – which took place on Monday 26 November in the Hazlerigg Building – awarded the highest performing students from each School for each year of study (with the exemption of final-year students).

At the event, students had the opportunity to meet and celebrate with staff members from the University including Vice-Chancellor Professor Robert Allison, representatives from each of the academic Schools as well as the Executive Officers from Loughborough Students’ Union (LSU).

Each student was presented with a certificate and a cheque for £500 at the event to acknowledge their outstanding performance in their undergraduate studies.

The winners from within the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences were:

  • Samuel Pittam, Psychology, School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences
  • Philip Crawley, Sport and Exercise Science, School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences

Talking about the students, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Teaching, Professor Rachel Thomson said: “I am constantly amazed at the range of activities that students undertake, and I am incredibly proud of all that they achieve both during their time at Loughborough and in their future careers.”

Congratulations Samuel and Philip!
