Alumnus Ore Oduba set to present Royal Wedding coverage

On Saturday 19 May, alumnus Ore Oduba will take to our screens as part of the presenting line-up for the BBC One television coverage of the wedding of HRH Prince Harry to Meghan Markle.

Millions of people worldwide are set to tune in to witness the nuptials on Saturday, which will take place at Windsor Castle.

Alongside co-presenters Alex Jones, Tina Daheley and Anita Rani, Ore will have the chance to interview guests as they enter the chapel to capture their pre-wedding excitement.

Ore will also be seeking the live reactions of Royal fans as they gather in their thousands in Windsor to catch a glimpse of the Prince and his bride on their special day.

Ore is very excited:

"It's fair to say Royal Wedding excitement has reached fever pitch in our house - bunting close to bursting point, I’ve been eating breakfast off Harry and Meghan commemorative plates for months! We all love a wedding, especially a royal one. And with Prince Harry as the groom it’s guaranteed to be one helluva party! It’s an honour to be a part of such a special national celebration and I can’t wait to capture those moments that the happy couple - and an audience of billions - will never forget”.

Ore Oduba graduated from Loughborough in 2008 with a degree in Sport Science and Social Science. In the summer of 2017, the University welcomed him back to the Loughborough campus to receive an Honorary Doctorate for his contribution to British television.

We look forward to seeing Ore on our screens on BBC One on Saturday from 9am – 2pm for this very special occasion. There will also be some pre-wedding fun on Friday from 7pm on BBC One for the “Harry and Meghan: They’re Getting Married in the Morning” programme from the team.
