Dan is currently employed as a Lecturer within the Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences department at Edinburgh Napier University. Prior to his appointment at Edinburgh Napier, Dan worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen, Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health for over 3 years. The project on which he was employed, entitled ‘Full4Health’, was a large-scale EU funded project involving 19 partner institutes from around Europe. Full4Health

examined diet and appetite control in lean and overweight, males and females, from across the life-span. Prior to beginning his Research Fellow role, Dan completed a PhD in Exercise Metabolism at the University of Birmingham. His doctoral research focused on understanding the acute effects of exercise on central and peripheral appetite control in normal-weight and overweight adults.
