Having studied at Loughborough for my undergraduate degree I knew how fantastic the University was and the amazing opportunities it had already given me. The School of Business and Economics was renowned in the University and I was keen to study a masters that would provide me the education and employability skills I would need to enter the world of work. I chose to study MSc Marketing and Management because of the diversity of modules on offer that I knew would help me to pursue a career in management.

The course taught me so many transferable skills that have helped me progress in my career. Group work and presentations have transferred from University into my working environment and without a strong grounding in these I would have struggled to cope with the various roles I have had after graduation. Similarly, the content of the modules particularly accounting, HR and retail management were essential in my Tesco Graduate Management Scheme where I was challenged with managing financial performance, staff issues and running a shop floor. Studying for a Masters at Loughborough has without a doubt given me a fantastic grounding to build a strong career in business and management. It gives you the edge on others in the job market, particularly as the School is highly regarded by employers. Loughborough University is a fantastic University that puts the student at the heart of everything they do. I received a great education and had the best of times while I did it.
