Nader Zarrabian is currently undertaking research in the areas of investment management and international financial markets. Nader is also involved with the delivery of Corporate Finance & Derivatives and Financial Technology modules in the School of Business and Economics.
He has over thirty years of professional experience encompassing finance, research, financial technology, management consultancy and has held senior management roles in public and private organisations. Nader has extensive experience in the investment management industry covering long-only funds, hedge funds, multi-manager and fund of hedge funds in the contexts of both private wealth and institutional portfolio management.
Nader has gained his experience in a wide range of organisations, starting his career as a trainee investment analyst with Charterhouse on the sell-side. Some of his other roles and organisations include: Schroders, a leading international asset manager, as Investment Analyst and also Vice President of Investment Analytics; at Barclays as Director and Head of Performance Analysis & Risk of Barclays Private Clients, Investment Services (Barclays Wealth) and also serving as a member of the Management, Asset Allocation and Investment Committees; at The Audit Commission as a civil servant Management Consultant; and at Tao Analytics, a pioneering investment technology FinTech company, as Founder and CEO.
Nader’s primary research interests cover the asset management industry and international financial markets. He also takes great interest in research areas relating to the nature of money, banking, central banks’ operations, monetary systems and their respective impacts on the markets.
