Eric Davies has held Honorary Visiting and Part-Time appointments at Loughborough since 2007. From 1999 to 2007 he was Director of LISU, a national research and information centre concentrating on performance assessment of libraries and related cultural services, based at Loughborough. Prior to that he was a Lecturer in the Department of Information Science at Loughborough and acted as the University’s Copyright Officer. His prior experience of professional library practice included over 25 years in academic library management as well as roles in public libraries and corporate libraries.
He has published widely and delivered numerous conference papers and workshop presentations at home and abroad. He was awarded Honorary Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) in 2010 in recognition of his distinguished contribution to the Institute and the profession. He currently lives in a village in Oxfordshire.
