Dr Andrei Gurca PhD, MSc, BSc
Lecturer in Technology and Innovation Management
Dr. Andrei Gurca is a lecturer in Technology and Innovation Management and member of the International Business, Strategy and Innovation group. Prior to joining Loughborough University in July 2020, He has worked for NEOMA Business School (France) and Nottingham Trent University (UK). He holds a PhD degree in Strategy and Innovation Management from Loughborough University. Overall, he has studied and worked in five countries – Romania, Denmark, China, France and UK.
His research focuses on the management of open and collaborative innovation. Related topics that feature in his research include frugal innovation, crowdsourcing and the design of multi-sided platforms. He also has a keen interest in social innovations in emerging and developing countries. His research articles have appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and Industrial Marketing Management.
He acts as reviewer for several journals, including Journal of Product Innovation Management, Industrial Marketing Management, Information and Management, Information Systems Journal and R&D Management.
