Research
Sathya joined the School of Business and Economics at Loughborough University in January 2016 as a PhD student, after being awarded a research studentship. Sathya previously obtained a MSc in International Economics Banking and Finance (Distinction) from Cardiff University and a BSc in Financial Markets and Institutions from University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy).
Prior to his current research studies, Sathya worked as Research Analyst in Corporate Governance at Institutional Shareholders Services in Belgium and as Junior Quantitative Analyst focusing on risk assessment and reputation analysis for the banking and consumer goods sector in a global leading consulting company in London.
Working under the supervision of Dr Christopher Spencer, Dr Kavita Sirichand and Dr Justine Wood, Sathya's main focus of research lays at the evolution of central banks communication pre and post-crisis, and its interaction with financial markets.
