Thesis Title/Topic: Connected experiences: An empirical investigation into the dynamics of physical/digital shopping behaviour and the impact on town centres.

Majd has been awarded a full studentship to complete his PhD. Prior to starting the PhD programme in 2017, Majd has worked in the industry as a junior engineer and operations manager for two companies prior to starting the PhD programme. He has also completed several collaborative projects with various companies such as Cisco and Diamonds Private Free Zone.


Majd holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management and a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management with focus on innovation and family firms. – Loughborough University, UK. He is a certified Omnichannel marketing advisor accredited by MediaMath.


Majd is an Incorporated Engineer and a member of Jordanian Engineers Association. He is also a member of Marketing and Retailing group and the Centre for Service Management in the School of Business and Economics.

Research Plan:

To investigate the impact of physical/digital retail on town centre performance indicators. More specifically, the research will investigate the town centre customer experience across to understand its influence on consumers’ decisions.
