Loughborough students reach the final of the Universities Business Challenge 2022

A team of five Loughborough School of Business and Economics students have reached the finals of the Universities Business Challenge, a simulation-based competitive challenge for undergraduates designed to develop employability and enterprise skills.

From the end of October, for six weeks the teams are tasked with analysing data and making informed strategic decisions for a simulated company. The top teams after six weeks with the most simulated profit go through to the semi-finals.

Loughborough fielded three teams and two of them reached the semi-finals, competing last Thursday in a variety of exercises where teams were tasked to do similar simulations for a business start-up.

Out of the 17 teams that were in the semi-finals, Loughborough University teams came 1st and 6th.

The top team are heading to the finals at the University of Liverpool in the next few weeks.

The School wishes the team the best of luck – we know they’ll do great.
