Mat Hughes joins board of the British Journal of Management

Mat Hughes

Professor Mat Hughes has recently been offered a place on the Editorial Board of the British Journal of Management (BJM).

The British Journal of Management (BJM) is the official journal of the British Academy of Management and is rated as 4 (given to top journals in their fields) on the Journal Quality Guide of the Association of Business Schools.

A Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Mat's research interests lie at the nexus of entrepreneurship and strategy and include corporate entrepreneurship and strategy, family firms, internationalization and so much more.

This year, the British Journal of Management is looking to publish two of his articles, one focused on the family firm configurations for high performance and how entrepreneurship and ambidexterity can play its role. The second is on institutional and resource-based explanations for subsidiary performance.

Professor Hughes commented on the invitation:

"The British Journal of Management (BJM) publishes a great range of research across management disciplines and its functional areas, so much so that its Impact Factor has risen by 36% from to 2.982 in the past year, ranked 35th in Business and 44th in Management. I’m delighted to join the Editorial Board and work with its Editors to take the journal forward."
