Masters graduate inducted into England Netball Hall of Fame

Ama Agbeze

On Saturday 15 September Loughborough University alumnae Olivia Murphy and Ama Agbeze were deservedly inducted into the England Netball Hall of Fame.

Ama Agbeze, a graduate of the School of Business and Economics, has enjoyed great success in English and international netball, making her international debut in 2001.

Agbeze was named England captain in 2016 after helping her team win a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2006. And then just this year, Agbeze captained the side to a gold medal at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

The goal keeper/defender has enjoyed two stints with Lightning as well as playing for the University during her time studying Finance and Management, from which she graduated in 2007 with an MSc.

On behalf of Loughborough University, huge congratulations to both Ama and Olivia – this is just reward for their contribution to netball in the UK.
