Executive Education course with Renault recognised at the Motor Trader Industry Awards

Renault Retail Group has successfully developed a training course with Loughborough University's School of Business and Economics (SBE), winning them the title ‘Employer of the Year’ at the recent Motor Trader Industry Awards.

Renault Retail Group has been recognised at the Motor Trader Industry Awards 2017 for their success at boosting staff morale and improving employee retention. First launched in 2014, the bespoke Executive Education course run by the Centre for Automotive Management at the SBE looked into how it could enhance career paths of both new and long standing staff members’ and the overall group.

Judges at the awards ceremony praised its genuine interest in their employees, having developed the programme with job specific elements to meet students’ work and career development needs.

The training also proved helpful with succession planning for the group as some 97% of its staff, who have been through the Personal Development Programmes stayed with the company.

Renault Retail Group Human Resources Business Manager Marie Petriacq Dobson said:

"Since launching the Personal Development Programme in 2014, I have been attending the Loughborough graduation ceremonies each year and have always felt really proud to see our employees celebrating their success. A majority of them left school at 16 years old and seeing them with a graduation gown is a strong image.

"Winning the Employer of the Year Award is a fantastic recognition for them arid of how Renault supports, develops and retains highly talented individuals."
