Dr Travers awarded for continued contribution to occupational psychology

Dr Cheryl Travers has been awarded an Academic Achievement in Psychology Award for her contribution to excellence in the practice of occupational psychology.

Cheryl was chosen to receive the accolade by the British Psychological Society at their annual Division of Occupational Psychology Awards conference earlier this month. The awards celebrate the achievements of fellow colleagues within the field of occupational psychology during 2016.

Passionate about people development, Cheryl's research approach aims to enhance self-awareness and setting 'self-goals' with great results. She recently gave a TED talk on 'Reflective Goal Setting' discussing this proven framework for successful behaviour change.
Cheryl said of her award: 
It was with great pleasure and pride that I received the DOP Academic Contribution to Practice his year. As an academic occupational psychologist, I have always been passionate about people development and have been in the business of sharing, what I see as the ‘gift of psychology’ for around 30 years. 

My 'Reflective Goal Setting' framework supports users in becoming ‘self-coaches’, showing them how to set goals at any time, on anything they want to, at any stage of their life and with transformational outcomes. I’m still getting that buzz!
