Tips on choosing a career in the Graduate Employment Market
Amy graduated from SBE in 2020 having achieved a BSc in Social Psychology in 2014 and subsequently a MSc in Work Psychology degree from Loughborough University. Her research focussed on athlete identity and transitions outside of sport. Amy has held various employment roles at Loughborough University, including VP Education on the Students’ Union Executive and subsequently a Senior Support Officer role, setting up the new Loughborough in London Campus.
Elsewhere, Amy has managed the end to end of early careers programmes in international corporations, including DHL, from recruitment and induction through to welfare support and off-boarding. This has included the implementation of new learning and development curriculums and supporting alumni with their ongoing professional career progression. She has also spent time as a Consultant within Higher Education and Early Careers, working with various education institutions and student employers.
Currently Amy is Head of Education at Premier Sports Network where she implements programmes such as the Life Skills initiative for current athletes, provides career and welfare support for sport alumni as well as creating development activity for those working within Player Care, across different sports.
Amy will talk about her career to date and how she approached the graduate career market. This will be followed by a Q&A
