Singapore Graduation Celebration

Graduation Celebration followed by a buffet at Chijmes Hall,Singapore.

Celebrating the 2017 and 2018 School of Business and Economics graduates from the PSB Academy.

Keynote Speaker: Mr C Kunalan

Mr Kunalan was born in 1942. The former national sprinter is currently in the role of Senior Manager with Sport Singapore’s ActiveSG Athletics Club, which aims to bring track and field to young people in the community.

 Whilst studying at the old Teachers' Training College, his passion was playing football with the Teachers’ Union team, until he was noticed by the national athletics coach and persuaded to switch to athletics.

 Kunalan became a National Athlete and represented Malaysia at the Olympic games in 1964 held in Tokyo and Singapore at the 1968 games held in Mexico City where he set a Singapore National Record for the 100m,  which stood for 33 years. (Singapore became part of Malaysia in 1963 so he represented Malaysia in 1964). Has won 5 Asian Games and 15 South East Asian Peninsula/South East Asian Games medals.

 During his career Mr Kunalan has taught for six years in primary education and 13 years in secondary education before joining the Institute of Education in 1980.

 Kunalan was awarded a (NIE/CPE)National institute of Education/College of Physical Education, two-year scholarship to pursue a Master of Science in Loughborough University of Technology in the UK. He graduated in 1988 with an MSc in Physical Education and Sport Science
