CIPD - An evening of Celebration, Learning and Networking

Presented By CIPD and School of Business and Economics

About this event

We will be presenting the Leicestershire Branch Student Awards 2018 and hearing from our inspirational guest speaker Andrew Cohen-Wray.  In addition you will be able to network with colleagues over a light buffet before the event.

All new students setting out a CIPD qualification in Leicestershire are invited to join us to find out more about local CIPD activities - and we'd welcome our existing branch members too!.

 Guest speaker

Andrew Cohen-Wray is one of the UK's leading Mental Performance Coaches, however the journey to Olympic stadiums and Formula 1 pitlanes hasn't been an easy one.  Andrew lived with a 24 hour memory as a result of PTSD, suffered a stroke, lost his brother to suicide and his mum to alcohol.  Andrew speaks very openly about his journey through adversity, his talk takes audiences on a rollercoaster of emotions as he shares the lows of dealing with suicide in the family and suffering a stroke 2 weeks before he was due to run the London Marathon through to the highs of driving some of the fastest cars in world and working with some of the quickest athletes on the planet.

In the second part of the talk Andrew covers the 'High Performance' element of his world by sharing live examples of subjects such as performing under pressure, pre event nerves, resilience, teamwork and building high performing teams.
