Become an angel investor: Minerva showcase event

Are you an aspiring angel investor? Minerva midlands network of entrepreneurs, venturers and angels.

Angel investors provide a valuable source of advice, support and financial capital for early stage and start-up businesses. But how do you become a business angel, and what are the advantages of investing disposable income or accumulated wealth in early stage or start-up companies?

In partnership with Minerva Business Angels Network, the School of Business and Economics is holding a special event to showcase the merits and practicalities of becoming an angel investor.

The event is free and will cover: What is angel investment and how does it work? What are the tax and legal implications of being an angel investor?

You will hear from experienced angel investors and companies who have received angel investment. You will also hear about the advantages of joining a business angel network that provides a forum for private investors to invest in emerging technology businesses.

Who should attend? Aspiring angel investors Legal and financial firms and advisors whose clients may wish to become angel investors.

Minerva Business Angels Network has over 170 angel investors who operate from investor cells based around the Midlands. Since 2010, its members have made investments in 28 companies.
