The Centre is at the forefront of internationally established mainstream in the theory, methodology and application of empirical methodologies of productivity, efficiency and performance measurement.  Thus, the CPP embodies economists and operational researchers who employ econometric and mathematical programming models and related methodologies to both measure and assess the determinants of productivity, efficiency and performance. 

This expertise extends to the empirical assessment of performance with multiple outputs, and controlling for social and environmental considerations.  The Centre has particularly strong capabilities with regard to efficiency and productivity measurement via the application of Stochastic Frontier Analysis and data envelopment analysis.
