GDPR Six Months On – Don’t Panic (Yet!) Steve Kuncewicz

The privacy debate continues.

In the wake of the most sweeping changes to privacy law during the last two decades, this lecture will focus on the current state of the union, as well as looking and future trends, regulation, enforcement and disputes.

We will open questions on GDPR, the future and why privacy will remain a strategic issue.

About the Speaker, Steve Kuncewicz:

Steve is partner at BLM Law and is a regular media spokesperson, he has given interviews to the local and national press (mainly on social media issues) through BBC Breakfast, Sky News, ITV, Granada TV, More4, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 5, BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Look East, BBC Radio Nottingham, BBC Radio Bristol, Century FM, Talk 107, CityTalk, Rock Radio, Kerrang Radio and LBC London. His first book, Legal Issues of Web 2.0 and Social Media, was published in June 2010, and his second, Legal Issues of Corporate Communication in the Online World, was published in July 2011.

Steve is heavily involved in business development, specifically social media strategy, writing an IP and media law blog, regular press releases and articles as well as presenting internal and external seminars to UK Trade and Industry, the CIPR and PRCA and Broker Summit.

Steve is also a member of the Council of Manchester Law Society and the national Law Society, a Board Member and Honorary solicitor of the Manchester Publicity Association, a Director of Manchester Creative Studio and an Ambassador for Forever Manchester.
